Ezo Agricultural High School, located in Hokkaido (commonly known as Ezo Agricultural High), is a boarding agricultural high school where most students are children of farmers aiming to work in agriculture. As the new school year begins, Ezo Agricultural High welcomes a unique student - Yugo Hachikane (voiced by Ryohei Kimura), who has come from the city to the countryside and gained admission to the agricultural high through the regular entrance exam, currently enrolled in the first year of the dairy farming department. Unlike his classmates, who have clear goals of inheriting their family businesses or becoming veterinarians, he struggles to find a definitive life goal, leaving him feeling restless. He expected to excel in exams due to his excellent grades, only to discover that the curriculum at the agricultural high differs greatly from that of regular high schools. Furthermore, all the clubs are sports-oriented, and with encouragement from Aki Mikage (voiced by Mari Hoshino), the frail Hachikane chooses to join the equestrian club. In this school, which has the largest campus area among all high schools in Japan and is surrounded by magnificent natural scenery and rural charm, Hachikane's youthful life begins! This anime is adapted from Hiro Arakawa's popular manga of the same name.
