On a stormy night, the Nightingale train is speeding along, carrying a man named Pidi (played by Steve Zahn), who collects vodka, a bespectacled woman named Chloe (played by Leelee Sobieski), a pair of Japanese men playing Go, and a cat. When the train arrives at the station, the conductor is outside smoking, and the train manager Miles (played by Danny Glover) is patrolling back and forth. Suddenly, a stranger carrying a box runs from a distance, wanting to board the train without a ticket, and he keeps taking medication. Out of sympathy, Miles lets him on the train. After sitting down, the stranger suddenly foams at the mouth and dies. Miles, Pidi, and Chloe are shocked to discover that the box in the dead man’s hand contains invaluable treasures. Thus, the three decide to cover up the death and claim the treasures for themselves. Greedy people begin to fight for them, and the involvement of a mysterious old woman and the police makes the process even more complicated. Passengers begin to die one by one, and the treasure hides unknown secrets...
