On a stormy night, a young boy named David (played by Hunter Carson) witnesses a mysterious unidentified flying object landing in the dunes near his home. The next day, his father decides to climb the dune to investigate. However, when he returns, he has become cold and hostile, completely different from the kind man he was before. Soon, David's mother begins to show similar changes. Confused and troubled, David gradually discovers that extraterrestrial beings have kidnapped the residents of the town and implanted a device in their cervical spine that can control their minds. However, no one believes him no matter how hard he tries to share this truth. As time passes, David becomes increasingly worried about his parents. He notices they start consuming raw meat, and the teachers at school exhibit similar strange behaviors, pushing the entire town closer to the brink of madness.
