The live-action movie "Uncharted" starring Tom Holland is still in development. Recently, Neil Druckmann, the creative director of the project and the creator of the game of the same name, gave an interview to share some thoughts. The film has already been set to be directed by Shawn Levy (known for "Real Steel" and "Night at the Museum"). He decided not to adapt any of the four existing games but instead tell the origin story of the main character, Nathan Drake. This has also received Druckmann's support, as he believes that developing a new story is much more interesting than merely transferring the original games to the big screen. "We've had some conversations with Shawn Levy, who is very passionate and understands our situation. Levy wants to tell a story that is different from the four adventure games, focusing on a young Nathan Drake. I think that’s much more interesting than trying to retell the stories of 'Uncharted 1/2/3/4.'" Druckmann also briefly discussed the planned live-action movie of "The Last of Us," noting that he has distanced himself from the project and realized that he is not particularly enthusiastic about movies that are directly adapted from games, which was the nature of his original script.
