Once a somewhat famous painter, Lars Olafen (played by Thure Lindhardt) comes to teach at an art school in an unknown small town, seemingly to escape his former glory and perhaps waiting for the Muse to smile upon him again. The local indifference and abruptness leave him at a loss, but a tall, reticent student named Eddie (played by Dylan Smith), who also has considerable artistic talent, offers Lars a sense of recognition. At the principal's request, Lars agrees to let Eddie stay with him. However, that night, Lars witnesses Eddie sleepwalking out of the house and raw-eating a small rabbit. It turns out the school had known all along and had hidden his condition to keep the sponsorship behind Eddie. Meanwhile, Eddie's strange behavior seems to rekindle Lars's long-lost creative inspiration. The fact that someone gets eaten is not a big deal, as long as you can clean up afterward...
