Nicholas Angel (played by Simon Pegg) serves as a senior police officer in London, and catching criminals seems to be his greatest pleasure. What's even more annoying is that the chief's son, Danny Butterman (played by Nick Frost), wants to tag along and becomes his partner. This new partner is a major nuisance, constantly asking about experiences from the big city police. Just as Nicholas is troubled by the town's trivial matters and his simple-minded partner, a case occurs in the town, giving Nicholas a chance to show his abilities, and an intense battle begins.
