Not long after, the captain kept seeing the ghosts of the two women floating back and forth in the bar, disoriented and almost on the verge of a breakdown. People in the bar said they saw two female ghosts wandering near the dock, prompting the captain, along with his mistress and other crew members, to investigate. It turned out that the two women were not dead but had fled from this small island. The pirates were, of course, unwilling to give up and continued to hunt them down.
