Dr. Bill Cortner is a successful scientist who has a beautiful fiancée named Jan Compton. In a serious car accident, Bill's fiancée was decapitated. Upon hearing the news, Dr. Bill brought Jan's head back to the lab and relied on a certain liquid to sustain her life. In order to revive his fiancée, Dr. Bill developed dark thoughts; he considered killing a woman to obtain her body and graft it onto his fiancée's head. At this moment, Jan was caught between life and death, believing she should be dead, but was placed in this state by Bill, leading her to develop hatred for him. She summoned a mutated monster that was previously confined in the lab through telepathy, which killed the doctor's assistant. The doctor located his target and used a drug to bring a woman back to the lab, but encountered opposition from Jan. The monster then broke free from the locked room; it was actually a failed specimen from many of the doctor's experiments. Standing at 7 feet tall, the monster ultimately killed the doctor, and the lab was consumed by a raging fire, while the monster escaped with the woman, and Jan was turned to ash along with the lab.
