Handa Seibu (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki), as the son of the famous calligrapher Hanten Seimei, has had an unusual childhood. Handa possesses handsome looks and a wise mind, yet he is introverted and not articulate, leading to a series of misunderstandings that make him the "weirdo" in the eyes of his classmates. Naturally, quiet Handa is unable to defend himself, and thus the legend of the "Handa Wall" spreads throughout the school.
