The Taiwanese version is titled "Little Idol," which premiered on Taiwan's Chinese Television System from August 6, 1990, to February 4, 1991. Its VCD was also released in Mainland China, where the official title became "Idol Angel Yoko." The series was broadcast on Hong Kong's Asia Television Channel 1 in 1992. Little Idol tells the story of a little girl who doesn't know where she came from. She arrives in a big city where she meets Betty, and both of them share the dream of becoming idol singers. While they strive towards their goal, they face many difficulties, but most of them are resolved by Little Idol's sweet singing voice. Ultimately, the story portrays Little Idol becoming a famous singer over the course of fifty years, but her sweet voice remains in everyone's hearts.
